Template:Infobox town Sandgem Town (Japanese: マサゴタウン, Masago Town) is a location in the region of Sinnoh, the featured area in the Generation IV games, Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. It is notable for having sandy terrain to the south of town that is from Sandgem Beach. The beach is part of Route 219, and is in close proximity to the town itself. Professor Rowan's laboratory is here. It is also the hometown for Dawn or Lucas, depending on which character the player choses for themselves. It is the first location in Sinnoh where Poké Balls are buyable. It smells of the salty scent of the sea.
The Japanese name Masago Town refers to a Japanese word for sand (真砂 masago).
