Release information

In Japan, this card was released as a SM-P Promotional card and was given to participants of the Zekrom SR and Zekrom HR Competitions, both of which were Limited Format events held in conjunction with the release of the Thunderclap Spark subset. Competitors at each of these events received 15 Thunderclap Spark booster packs and a quantity of basic Energy cards upon entry and were required to make a deck comprising solely these cards. The Zekrom SR Competition was held at participating Pokémon Card Gym venues between July 6 and 31, 2018. The Zekrom HR Competition was held at specific Pokémon Card Gym venues between July 7 and August 2, 2018 and at specific Pokémon Centers between August 3 and 31, 2018. A special invitation-only Zekrom HR Competition was also held at the NicoNico Honsha, Ikebukuro, Tokyo on July 5, 2018.
