Salvador

Salvador (Japanese: サブロウ Saburō) is a character of the day and a Pokémon Trainer from Cherrygrove City.

Salvador appeared in A Claim to Flame!, as Ash's first opponent during the Athlete's Round of the Silver Conference. The computer randomly selected Ash to go first, and Salvador sent out his Furret to battle Ash's Pikachu. Furret turned out to be a tough opponent, though Ash ultimately won and advanced onto the next stages. It is not known if Salvador won his other two battles in the Athlete's Round, and therefore it is not known if he moved on in the Silver Conference.

		Furret
		Furret is Salvador's main powerhouse. Salvador used his Furret against Ash's Pikachu in a Silver Conference battle. Furret turned out to be a formidable opponent. It dodged Pikachu's attacks with its speed, and it confused the Electric-type Pokémon by repeatedly using Dig. Ash finally commanded Pikachu to grab onto Furret's back, where he used Thunderbolt underground to defeat Furret and give Ash the victory. Furret's known moves are Double Team, Swift, Dig and Headbutt.
