A Sailor (Japanese: ふなのり Sailor) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that first debuted in the Generation I games. Originally they were often depicted as burly men in sailor suits flexing their muscles, though their actual physical shape varies between games. In Diamond, a sailor named Eldritch plays a minor part in the game's storyline.
A Sailor (Japanese: ふなのり Sailor) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that debuted in the Generation I games. Originally they were often depicted as burly men in sailor suits flexing their muscles, though their actual physical shape varies between games. The sailor is one of two minor trainer classes, the other being Guitarist, whose design features a visible tattoo. The Generation I sprites have an anchor tattoo and the Pokémon XD model has “FeeL GooD” tattooed across the knuckles reminiscent of “Hold Fast” tattoos. In Diamond, a sailor named Eldritch plays a minor part in the game's storyline.

They usually specialize in Water Pokémon, with the exception of using Raticate and the Machop evolution family.

In Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, a sailor named Eldritch plays a minor part in the game's storyline.

They usually specialize in Water-type Pokémon, with the exception of using Raticate and the Machop evolution family.

In Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, Sailors battled outside of Gyms will award three Poké Balls along with prize money upon being defeated.
