Ryan William Downey is an American actor who works on the English-language dub of the Pokémon anime.

Biography

Downey was born on May 2, 1984 in Elyria, Ohio. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Studies from Kent State University, where he studied to become a playwright. Upon graduating from college, Downey became a playwright, actor, musician, and producer. He started voicing characters for the Pokémon anime during Pokémon the Series: XY, becoming best known for his roles as Ippei and Hoopa in its Hoopa Unbound form in Hoopa and the Clash of Ages. He currently resides in New York City, New York.
