They appeared on [[Akala Island]] at the Wela Volcano, where they were hunting for Spark Stones, while disrupting the feeding of the [[Regional variant|Alolan]] {{p|Geodude}} and {{p|Graveler}}. Later on, they were attacked whilst inside a cave there, but were later found by {{Ash}}, {{an|Kiawe}}, and {{an|Sophocles}}. The hunters told them about the strange noises that they heard, but when an Alolan {{p|Golem}} appeared and was shown to be the cause of the noises, they ran away.

Later on, they were attacked whilst inside a cave there, but were later found by Ash, Kiawe, and Sophocles.
