Similar to {{m|Bide}}, the user will store energy for a few turns and then release the energy to inflict damage; the amount of damage equals the amount the user received during the "charging". The move will fail if the opposing Pokémon doesn't attack, if the user is under certain statuses like sleep or paralyze, or if the user faints.
Revenge gives the user the [[Status condition (Mystery Dungeon)|Bide status]], where the user cannot move, attack, or use any items. The status lasts for 4 turns{{sup/md|RB}}{{sup/md|TDS}} / 3 turns{{sup/md|GTI}}{{sup/md|SMD}}, and any damage received during this time will be dealt back at 2×{{sup/md|RB}}{{sup/md|TDS}} / 1.5×{{sup/md|GTI}}{{sup/md|SMD}} to the enemy in front. Revenge cannot be used in a {{OBP|Pokémon Tower|Mystery Dungeon}} in the [[Pokémon Mystery Dungeon (WiiWare)|Adventure Squad]] series.
