Refrigerate (Japanese: フリーズスキン Freeze Skin) is an Ability introduced in Generation VI. Prior to Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, it was the signature Ability of Amaura and Aurorus.
Effect
In battle
Generation VI
Refrigerate causes all Normal-type moves used by the Pokémon to become Ice-type and receive a 30% power boost. It overrides Ion Deluge and Electrify.
Generation VII
Affected moves now receive a 20% power boost.
Outside of battle
Refrigerate has no effect outside of battle.

Normal-type moves become Ice type and deal 20-25% more damage. When Nature Power is used, although the Ability activates, the move chosen by Nature Power does not become Ice-type and there is no boost in power.
