It was reprinted in the EX Emerald expansion with the same art, and in the EX Holon Phantoms and POP Series 5 sets with new artwork by the same artist. Another artwork also by Ryo Ueda was used in Great Encounters expansion, originating from the Moonlit Pursuit and Dawn Dash expansion, and later reprinted in POP Series 8.
Rare Candy was later reclassified in Japan as an Item card during the HeartGold & SoulSilver Series, though the English Trainer cards did not adopt this naming convention until after this card's latest print. Unleashed featured new artwork by Noriko Hotta, and the Japanese Reviving Legends expansion featured yet another new illustration by Shizurow.

It was reprinted again in Japan as part of the Master Deck Build Box EX, released on September 14th, 2012. Plasma Blast featured Rare Candy as a regular card, and as an Ultra-Rare Secret card with new artwork by Ayaka Yoshida.
