Release information

This card was reprinted in the EX Emerald set with the same art, and in the EX Holon Phantoms and POP Series 5 sets with new artwork by the same artist. Another artwork was used on Great Encounters set, also by Ryo Ueda, and later reprinted in POP Series 8.

Rare Candy is an item in the Pokémon games that increases the level of the Pokémon it is given to by 1.

This card is one of the first to require common knowledge of Pokémon in general, as opposed to observable knowledge on the cards themselves. (In the case that the user evolves their basic Pokémon into a stage 2.)
