Rafe (Japanese: リュウ Ryū) is a character from the 7th movie, Destiny Deoxys. He is the older brother of Audrey and Kathryn.

History

Rafe and Sid in the Battle Tower.

Rafe is a skilled Pokémon Trainer who came to LaRousse City with his twin sisters Audrey and Kathryn, as well as his friends Sid and Rebecca, to compete at the Battle Tower, where he met Ash Ketchum and company. When he and Sid participated at the Battle Tower, their first match was against Ash and Tory Lund, and he and Sid won easily due to Tory's inexperience with Pokémon.

When Deoxys' clones began to abduct people and Pokémon alike, Rafe was able to fend off the many that came near his group, with the help of his Blaziken, Ash, and his Pikachu, allowing the others to escape. Later on, Rafe managed to help free the abducted citizens of LaRousse City, and helped restore energy to the city to regenerate the body of the other Deoxys.

Rafe is a calm and collected guy who thinks before he acts. He is protective of his sisters and cares for his Pokémon like he does his friends. He goes a bit over the top in cockiness after a battle as he was being very full of himself after defeating Ash and Tory.

Pokémon

Rafe's Blaziken
Blaziken
Blaziken is the only Pokémon of Rafe's party shown in Destiny Deoxys. It first appeared helping Ash with the moving floors in the city. Later, Rafe used Blaziken in battle against Tory and Ash in the Battle Tower and won easily.

When all the Trainers tried to manually move the windmills, Blaziken moved one alone by jumping on it repeatedly.

Blaziken's known moves are Blaze Kick, Flamethrower, and Overheat.
