The Quick Starter Gift Set (Japanese: クイックスターターギフト Quick Starter Gift) is a Japanese-exclusive Deck Kit for the Pokémon Trading Card Game.

Release Date
Information
*The set was released for the Christmas season in 1998.
The Deck Kit consists of two Standard Decks, the Red Deck and the Green Deck, which take their names from the first Japanese Pokémon games Red and Green. All of the cards included in the set are reprints from the Vending Machine cards collection. These cards differ by not being printed on the same glossy card stock as their counterparts and by not having rarity symbols (as is the case with the majority of Japanese cards from fixed sets), making the reprints more valuable than the normal Vending Machine cards. The set also contains exclusive non-glossy Holofoil versions of Scyther, Moltres, Zapdos, Articuno and Master Ball, all of which are non-Holofoil and glossy in the normal Vending Machine collection.

Trivia
In addition to the two Standard Decks, the set contains a rulebook, Appendix:Glossary (TCG), two poison Special Conditions, two Coins, Appendix:Glossary (TCG), and one Series 1 (Blue) Extended Sheet. The guidebook Understand How to Play Pokémon Cards Now: Newest Edition is also included, which features illustrations by TCG artists Kagemaru Himeno and Kouichi Ooyama, and Promotional cards Asobikata and Asobikata as inserts.
*The two decks (Red & Green) are named after the first Japanese Pokémon games Pokémon Red and Green.
*All of the cards found in this set are from the Vending Machine collection. What differs in the gift set is that none of the cards have rarity symbols (as is the case with all Japanese cards from fixed sets), making these more valuable than the normal Vending Machine cards.
*The set also contains exclusive holographic versions of Scyther, Moltres, Zapdos, Articuno and Master Ball, all of which are non-holographic in the normal Vending Machine collection.
*In addition to the two decks, the set contains a rulebook, damage counters, two poison counters, two custom coins, a playmat and one Series 1 (Blue) Vending Sheet.

The Quick Starter Gift Set (Japanese: クイックスターターギフト Quick Starter Gift) is a Japanese-exclusive Deck Kit for the Pokémon Trading Card Game.

Information

The Deck Kit consists of two Standard Decks, the Red Deck and the Green Deck, which take their names from the first Japanese Pokémon games Pokémon Red and Green.

In addition to the two Standard Decks, the set contains a rulebook, damage counters, two poison status counters, two custom coins, playmat, and one Series 1 (Blue) Extended Sheet. The guidebook Understand How to Play Pokémon Cards Now: Newest Edition is also included, which features illustrations by TCG artists Kagemaru Himeno and Kouichi Ooyama, and Promotional cards Diglett and Dugtrio as inserts.
