Purity River is an anime-exclusive location in Johto featured in Mewtwo Returns. It runs through Purity Canyon, with its water flowing from Clarity Lake atop Mount Quena.
Due to its pure water, many Bug-type Pokémon are attracted to the river. Ledian were seen to light up a tree positioned adjacent to the river. It is also a popular place for Kakuna to hang, meaning that a number of Weedle and Beedrill are also present.
