The Psychic type is one of the ten TCG elemental types. It is represented by the color purple.

The Psychic type contains all Psychic, Ghost and Poison Pokémon found in the video games. For example, Alakazam, Gengar and Garbodor are Psychic types in the TCG.

Battle properties

Generally Psychic Pokémon have a weakness to:

• Psychic (if the Pokémon was a Psychic or Poison type in the video games)
• Darkness (if the Pokémon was a Ghost type in the video games)

These types are generally weak to Psychic Pokémon:

• Psychic
• Fighting (if the Pokémon was a Fighting type in the video games)

These types are generally resistant to Psychic Pokémon:

• Colorless (only before EX Ruby & Sapphire)
• Darkness
• Metal (Diamond & Pearl onwards)
