Professor Kodama

Professor Kodama (Japanese: コダマ博士 Doctor Kodama) is the character of the day in Sticking With Who You Know!. He is voiced by 柴田秀勝 Hidekatsu Shibata in Japanese and Tristan Goddard in English.

Kodama had created a machine, the "Affinity Enabler", that made Template:Type2 Pokémon and Template:Type2 Pokémon become inseparable. He had created it with the intention of making Pokémon who don't get along to be closer to each other. Two of the Pokémon affected were Ash's Pikachu and Dawn's Piplup. However, his Quagsire and Magnemite seemed to despise each other even when the machine was turned on.

He had hired Team Rocket as his assistants. They eventually decided to steal the machine along with Pikachu and Piplup. However Kodama had also been captured by mistake which led to Quagsire and Magnemite to work together to rescue him.

Brock explained to Professor Kodama that perhaps the machine did not work on Magnemite and Quagsire because they were dual-typed Pokémon, with Quagsire's secondary type being Ground and Magnemite's secondary type being Steel.

Professor Kodama's Quagsire
Quagsire
Quagsire is one of Professor Kodama's assistant Pokémon, however it seemed to have an intense dislike of Professor Kodama's other assistant, a Magnemite, a dislike that was more than mutual and as a result the two Pokémon were always arguing and would occasionally attack each other. After Professor Kodama created the machine that was designed to make Electric and Template:Type2 Pokémon inseparable, Quagsire and Magnemite were still constantly fighting as it emerged that as Quagsire was part Template:Type2 it was immune to the machine's power. Despite this, Quagsire and Magnemite were able to put their problems behind them to team up and help defeat Team Rocket.

Quagsire's only known attack is Water Gun.

Professor Kodama's Magnemite
Magnemite
Magnemite was Professor Kodama's other assistant and returned the hatred that Quagsire felt for it. Magnemite was also immune to the machine Professor Kodama developed due to being part Template:Type2. Despite this, it was able to team up with Quagsire to defeat Team Rocket which help resolve some of their issues with each other.

Magnemite's only known attack is Thunderbolt.
