Trivia

• The restriction against playing any more Trainer cards after this card is played is similar to the rules of the later-released Supporter cards, of which only one could be played per turn. The cards depicting Elm's successors, Professor Birch and Professor Rowan, are both Supporters.
• The effect of this card is similar to that of Professor Oak of the Base Set.
