Power Swap (Japanese: パワースワップ Power Swap) is a non-damaging Psychic-type move introduced in Generation IV. It was TM60 in Pokémon Sword and Shield.

Effect

Power Swap switches the user's Attack stat stages and Special Attack stat stages with the target's Attack stat stages and Special Attack stat stages. Since this changes stat stages, the stat stages can be passed via Baton Pass.

Power Swap bypasses accuracy checks to always hit, unless the target is in the semi-invulnerable turn of a move such as Dig or Fly.

If powered up by a Psychium Z into Z-Power Swap, the user's Speed stat is raised by one stage.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series

In Explorers of Time, Darkness and Sky, Power Swap is a move with 13PP that ignores accuracy and evasion checks. The user targets Pokémon in the front, ally or enemy, while also cutting corners. The user and target swap Attack and Sp. Attack stat boosts as well as multipliers from Aurora Beam, Memento and Charm. This move is affected by Taunt.

Pokémon UNITE

In Pokémon UNITE, Power Swap is one of Mr. Mime's possible second moves. It is obtained by reaching level 6 and choosing to upgrade Light Screen into it instead of Barrier. Previously, its spot as a possible second move was taken by Guard Swap.

Power Swap has the user create a link between itself and the Pokémon hit by it. While active, the link increases the user's movement speed and continually restores its HP. If the linked Pokémon is an ally, the link will cause the same effects it causes on the user on it and will increase the amount of damage it deals. If the linked Pokémon is an opposing one, the link will cause the opposite effects: reduced movement speed, decreased damage dealt, and will damage it over time. The link will disappear if the user and the linked Pokémon are too far away.

By reaching level 13, Power Swap is upgraded into Power Swap+, further increasing the amount of damage dealt by allies and decreasing the amount dealt by opposing Pokémon.
