Power Construct (Japanese: スワームチェンジ Swarm Change) is an Ability introduced in Generation VII. It is one of the signature Abilities of Zygarde.

Effect

In battle

When the HP of a Zygarde 10% Forme or 50% Forme with Power Construct falls below half, it changes into Complete Forme. This ability can not be negated with moves like Gastro Acid.

Since Zygarde Complete Forme has a higher base HP stat, Zygarde gains HP equal to the difference between its old maximum HP and its new maximum HP upon changing form. It will also default back to Dragon/Ground typing.

At the end of the battle, Zygarde will change back to the Forme it stated battle as, retaining its current HP. If its current HP at the end of the battle is above the maximum HP of its original Forme, its current HP will become equal to its maximum HP.

Outside of battle

Zygarde with the Ability Power Construct cannot be separated back into Cores and Cells.
