Power is a property of moves that determine how much damage is dealt by them.
Moves with more power do more damage; the more damage a move does the more likely it will either have low accuracy or some negative effects for the user. Power can be altered by some degree of damage modification that depends on the current status of the battle.
Sometimes, moves will have a power of "—"; this means either that they deal no damage or deal variable damage.
