ポニのさいだん Poni Altar
Poni Altar as seen in Pokémon Adventures
(Japanese: ポニのさいだん Poni Altar) is a location in the Pokémon Adventures manga. It serves as a replacement for the Altars of the Sunne and Moone, incorporating elements from both locations into one.
The Poni Altar first appeared in PASM24. The four guardian deities of Alola took Sun and Moon there and gave them a Sun Flute and a Moon Flute, respectively. With the melody of both flutes, Sun and Moon caused the Altar to release a bright light that caused Nebby and another Cosmoem to evolve into the Legendary Pokémon Lunala and Solgaleo, respectively.
Shortly afterward, Moon, Gladion, Hapu, and Anabel fought against a group of Ultra Beasts that had arrived in Alola. During the clash, a large Ultra Wormhole opened up with a Necrozma's hand emerging from it. Necrozma grabbed Solgaleo, taking control of its body. The possessed Solgaleo captured Sun with its tail and dived into the wormhole while Moon and Nebby chased after them.
