A Performer and her Roserade in a Showcase

A Pokémon Performer (Japanese: ポケモンパフォーマー Pokémon Performer) is a female Trainer who raises Pokémon to compete in Pokémon Showcases, where they demonstrate their partnership in a number of activities.

Role

A Performer's job is to create dance routines and movement sequences for her Pokémon and herself, as they have to show the audience how well coordinated they are together through their performance. They also must be able to use their Pokémon's capabilities and skills to their advantage, displaying their moves and characteristics in an entertaining way. This is similar to how Pokémon Coordinators show off their Pokémon in the Performance Stage of a Pokémon Contest, but the key difference is that Performers have to involve themselves in the performances.

As there are different themes used during the first round of a Pokémon Showcase, Performers have to excel in other activities as well, such as baking Poké Puffs and dressing up their Pokémon with accessories. They can also use PokéVision videos as a way to promote themselves for Pokémon Showcases.

Performers who win a Pokémon Showcase are awarded with a Princess Key. Once they have collected at least three Princess Keys, one from each class, they can enter the Master Class tournament, where they compete for the title of Kalos Queen. The current Kalos Queen is Aria, who managed to win the Master Class tournament with her Braixen.

Aria as Kalos Queen

The Kalos Queen (Japanese: カロスクイーン Karosu Kuin) is a title which is received after winning the Master Class Tournament and being crowned the current queen. Performers aim for this goal, unlike the Top Coordinator where there can be multiple given the title, the title of the Kalos Queen can only be given to one, mirroring the Champion title of a trainer that completes the required objective.

The winner is given a crown for themselves and their Pokémon after the tournament.
