Release information
This card was reprinted in the EX Emerald and EX Crystal Guardians expansions.
Trivia
All prints of the card neglect to mention what would happen if none of the cards were Basic Pokémon, Evolution cards, or Energy cards. The ruling on the matter was that the player would show all 3 cards to the opponent to prove there were no necessary cards there, then place all 3 cards back on top of the deck in any order.
Origin
The PokéNav is an item in Generation III of the Pokémon games, allowing Trainers to determine their current position, track their Pokémon's Contest stats, and communicate with other Trainers.
