Pin Missile is a mostly accurate Bug-type move introduced in Generation I that deals very little damage.
In the anime
Many white and sharp pins are fired to the oponnent with huge velocity.
Episodes
- AG006 A Poached Ego! to actuality. Since it was catched, James's Cacnea signature move has been Pin Missile. Its first use was to save Jessie, James and Meowth from a group of anger Beedrills as a wild Cacnea, then James captured it.
Differences between Pokémon
- Cacnea: The pins are created in the dark green spines that sorrounds its wrists, first they turn withe and then they go to the front to fire the pins, simulating fingers.
In other languages

Effect
Generation I
Pin Missile does damage, hitting 2-5 times per use. There is a 37.5% chance that it will hit 2 times, a 37.5% chance that it will hit 3 times, a 12.5% chance that it will hit 4 times, and a 12.5% chance that it will hit 5 times. Though technically only the first hit can critical hit, each hit per use will do the same amount of damage.
Pin Missile will end immediately if it breaks a substitute. Bide will only acknowledge one hit of a Pin Missile attack.
