From Bulbapedia, the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia.
Payback (Japanese: しっぺがえし Retribution) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation IV.
Payback inflicts damage. Its power doubles to 100 if the user attacks after the target, or if the target switches out.
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon
The user will counter any attack from certain types that was classified as physical moves before Generation IV. The move will fail against any other type or if the user faints.
Payback no longer deals double damage if the target switches out.
