This card was first released as one of the Japanese XY-P Promotional cards, made available alongside four other promotional cards in the Xerneas & Yveltal Card Box, released on December 13, 2013. The English print was first released in the Flashfire expansion, originating from the Japanese M Charizard-EX Mega Battle Deck. The original XY-P Promotional print was subsequently made available in the Primal Groudon & Primal Kyogre Card Box from December 13, 2014, and in the Mega Mewtwo X & Mega Mewtwo Y Card Box from September 26, 2015.
