Synopsis

Ruby realizes that Relo can dive to the ocean floor and that Captain Stern, Wallace, Gabby, Ty, Winona, and Sapphire don't realize this. He looks down at the water and sees Mimi! He sends out all his Pokémon to get Mimi. Popo gets it out of the water... but it's not Mimi, it's just a Magikarp! He gives it to a blind boy who is looking for it. The blind boy thanks Ruby and says that he's jealous of Ruby's skills and Pokémon. He says if he had those skills, he could help people in trouble. This brings back a wave of memories. He decides what to do.

Wallace gets a Tropic Mail from Coco that reads,
"To Master
It's me, Ruby. There's something I need to discuss with you. I will fight Team Magma."

Sapphire is going to try to swim to the Seafloor Cavern, but Winona tells her it's too deep. Wallace's air car arrives, with Ruby on board. He jumps down onto Walo and tells them that Relo can do it. Winona is skeptical, but Sapphire belives Ruby. The latter calls Mr. Briney and tells him the length. Mr. Briney says it's too small, but two children can ride. Ruby gives Sapphire new clothes, and she accepts. Then Ruby, Sapphire, and Relo start to dive to the bottom of the sea.
