VS. Medicham (Japanese: VS. チャーレム VS. Charem or シダケのコンテスト Shidake Contest) is the 217th round of the Pokémon Adventures manga in the Ruby & Sapphire arc.
Synopsis
At the base of Team Magma, the Desert Ruins, Maxie asks Tabitha what happened at Mt. Chimney. Tabitha tells him that the volcano was dead and he couldn't do anything. Mack is modifing the Scanner. Courtney says her patience is waning and that she's going to search for the Red Orb. Courtney shows him Ruby. Then she and Maxie head out.
In Verdanturf Town, Ruby is getting started with his first Pokémon Contest. He easily wins the Cute Contest with Coco and its Growl attack. He also wins the Cool Contest with Nana. Ruby uses Mimi in the Beauty Contest. It uses Water Pulse and entrances the crowd. Then Ruby sees Wally in the crowd.
