{{adv|Blue}} is unable to control the front three carriages of the [[Magnet Train]]. [[Brock]] and [[Erika]] rush in to the driver's cab to help, but not even the combined {{m|Magnitude}} of Brock's six Geodude are able to stop the train. Erika soon notices that they are fast approaching a dead end, and will crash if they don't do something.
 
Meanwhile, in the middle of the rear three carriages of the train which are heading back to the [[Indigo Plateau]], [[Falkner]], [[Bugsy]], [[Whitney]], and [[Morty]] continue to whittle down some {{tc|Team Rocket Grunt}}s, when [[Lt. Surge]] enters to inform them about the carriage split, and how he was able to generate enough electricity to reverse the carriages' motion. He holds up a [[Great Ball]] as proof of his accomplishment.

The Last Battle III (Japanese: 最終決戦III The Last Battle III) is the 169th round of the Pokémon Adventures manga.
