201

Team Rocket appears. Sham and Carl are there with the Team Rocket Grunts. The Grunts send out some Cubone, a Drowzee, some Ledian, and a Ninetales to attack Gold and Polibo. Silver tells Gold that Team Rocket caused the earthquake. Carl then recognizes Silver, and tells the Grunts to attack Silver too, but the Pokémon that try are knocked out by Gold and Exbo. Carl's giant Piloswine appears, and attacks Gold and Silver. When Gold tells Polibo to use Water Gun, Polibo does nothing. Silver lets Gold battle the Team Rocket Grunts on his own and attacks the Piloswine. The Piloswine chases Silver, who is Flying on his Murkrow to dodge. But then, with the power of liquefaction and Polibo's Whirlpool, Piloswine is defeated. Then Carl notices that Gold has defeated the Grunts' Pokémon. Then Sham says that their mission is completed, so they can retreat. They do.

Since that's over, Gold and Silver trade again. Then Gold challenges Silver to a battle.

At an evacuation shelter, some doctors are taking care of Jasmine. She tells them about Gold and Silver rescuing her, but they do not believe her.

Someplace destroyed in Ecruteak City, Gold and Silver get ready to battle.

Trivia

Errors

  • Carl says that Silver foiled Team Rocket's plans back at New Bark Town's Slowpoke Well; the Slowpoke Well is located in Azalea Town, not New Bark Town.
  • While running from it, Silver said that Piloswine was the only Pokémon that possesses both Water and Ice attacks. However, this is not true, since most Pokémon from already a generation before could use both Water- and Ice-type moves. What he probably meant was that Piloswine was the only Pokémon that could use both Ice- and Ground-type moves.
