PKMN United is an unofficial Pokémon league based in Mexico. It was created in 2004 and formerly had two regions, Center (Mexico City) and North (Culiacán, Sinaloa)

The league organizes NetBattle tournaments, challenges with other leagues, and soccer games. Titles of Champion, Elite Four members, and Gym Leader are awarded to tournament winners.
There are tournaments all the year for PKMN United members only, to determine who is the current champion, such as the Campeonato PKMN United 08/09 that just begun on December 22, 2008.

Other activities of the league include meetings of the members, soccer games and other video games.

History
The league began with an invitation on the Atomix magazine forums and soon after that some people were interested and Pokemasters was created as a clan, but most of the members were from different cities, so a lot of them had to drop out because the Generation III games didn't have online play, and it would be difficult to play between members.

History
The remaining members from Mexico city wanted to create a Pokémon League with the rule of accepting only people from the same city in order to make meetings in a regular basis, they decided to change their name and "PKMN United" was the winner of the poll. They decided to make their first tournament to determine the champion, that was (LinkGold)which is currently an ex-member. Soon after the league members determined that after certain amount of time there would be a new tournament to have a new Champion.
Originally the founders of the league used to belong to an Atomix clan named Gamers Force who specializes on Smash Bros Melee competitive gaming, but also played other videogames in a secondary way, after taking the decision of making their own pokemon league, this originally had been thought to being named Pokemasters and be composed of people of all the country of Mexico, but after the league only was formed by the north and center region. Originally the league members trained their own pokemons, but with the knowdelge and use of Gameshark, Action Replay and Pokemon Factory, the league facilitated the training of their pokemon and the general level of the league rose,

The league had used as HQ Forums Pokemex and Atomix basically, also they recently lost their pay forums, they have won some tournaments like the Odessa's, netbattle and more recently Wi-Fi tournaments. Only a tournament had been organized by PKMN United and it were won by a Nekenio member
Although initially training their own Pokémon, the league soon acquired knowledge of GameShark and Action Replay. In order to use Pokémon to their full potential.

Soon after, they decided to challenge other leagues including Pokemex, Nekenio  and Dark soul and taking on public tournaments, and organizing their own both on Netbattle or in the city (such as the copa PU I and II, Ampharos Cup and Miss pity & Pikitri cup) which were ruled by the alternative tier list made by the league.

A new branch was opened in the north (Sinaloa), but it didn't last long, the sister "PKMN United Norte" didn't had enough members.

Challenges againist other fan organizations
The league was successful for some years, winning some tournaments (not as many as their rival league: Nekenio) and having both good and bad reputation, criticism existed towards PKMN United for not winning the Pokemex tournament and the ways the league members expressed over Internet forums (such as Pokemex) to their rivals. But at the time Diamond & Pearl  were released, many Trainers had to quit the game due to other occupations and so the league had to find new members, the tournament to determine a new champion was canceled for a time until now.
Thanks to the PKMN United league is located in Mexico City, the league have had physicall contact with other groups and challenges of the same type

Recently the league returned to tournaments, most of them over Nintendo Wi-Fi and accepting the first member outside Mexico city (Neoth). They opened their own YouTube channel to record some of their battles.

Actually, the league consists of 14 members.

Basically PKMN United failed to beat this league because of the little experience they had in competitive battling, beating the SkarmBliss combo and teams with 00bers and legendary pokemon

{|
PKMN United had 2 challenges againist this league, both victories with a minimum difference of points, however some members of Nekenio don't recognize their second lose because one of United challengers, Max, was absent and one of the other United challengers had to play twice againist Nekenio's members, the third challenge didn't complete because both leagues couldn't agree in the rules and none wanted to cede, also both leagues have had a discussion in a thread of Pokemex forums initiated by a Nekenio of that time

Challenge againist Dark Soul
*YouTube channel
This challenge was easily won by PKMN United, at the point that it was unnecessary to finish the challenge, the second challenge didn't complete because El Tortu, the Dark Soul's leader, became angry with the jokes of some members, at the point that almost begun a fight between the leagues, actually Dark Soul is dissolved but some members of the league formed a new league named Atomix league

Conflicts with other fan organizations
On the way to be of some members of the league, PKMN United have had discussions in other forums different than theirs and with other groups, the most important have been with Pokemex (spaming the site and using multiple and anonimous accounts), Nekenio (explained above), Pikaflash (Altought they were ignored here), Club Nintendo forums, in the same Atomix forums, Dark Soul (explained above), and Pokemon Venezuela forums

The conflict with the North region
Because of some discussions and differences between the two regions, the North region formed its own gamers' league named Neo Gamers Alliance, making Pokémon United a single league, keeping the politics of only accepting members from Mexico City and the metropolitan area of the same city.

PKMN United today
The league has a very high competitive level in all the tiers levels, also is only formed of eleven members, making it one of the times that has been less active members, most members prefere the offensive battling style and all the known clauses off, excepting legendaries and species clauses, actually they are hated by some competitive battle comunities too

Members
The current leaders of the league are NESgamer and Alex (previously Neo Night and with a lot of alternative nicknames), other active members are Mako (previously Redeemer), Zoleil, Jafret (originally Char99), Bulba, Aioros (Originaly Shiny Noctowl), FL (previously Poison), Zidane, Shakka (Toluca) and Neoth (the new sucka), the only moral member of the league is Spectro (from Paraguay).

The retired members are Chom, Zodiacal, Zeus (previously Golum), Cuñis, Govaran, Pop, Enzo, Tai, Shinji (With a lot of alternative nicknames), Hyoga, Shiny, Rudy, Kriz, La Güera, Iunax, Kirif, FlybSlugMx, Kadgar, Max and Deydoss, the only retired moral member was Raziel, who lives in Cuernavaca, the two only members that decided to emigrate to the rival league, Nekenio, were LinkGold and Camus and the two only members rejected by the league have been DarkGardevoir and Ciutef (also today in Nekenio), the members of the North region prior to secession were Kid, Gnoblis, Sho, Luigi, Dark Magician and Aeroblast.

The misterious owner of the league
Is said to be a misterious owner of the league, almost nothing is known about him, only that his nickname is James, and also owns other valuable possessions, in the words of NESGamer.
