Oliver (Japanese: セイヤ Seiya) is a character of the day who appeared in Dreams Are Made of These!. He is from Goldenrod City.
During the Pokémon Orienteering competition, Oliver met Ash and challenged him to a Normal Class World Coronation Series battle. He sent out his Meganium against Ash's Pikachu, and despite having the type advantage, Meganium lost after a tough battle. Afterwards, he congratulated Ash and promised he would be victorious in the next battle.

Stanium (Japanese: ソシニウム Soshinium) is Oliver's only known Pokémon. He was used to battle Ash's Pikachu. Stanium was able to gain the upper hand throughout the fight and land a powerful Solar Beam, but was eventually defeated by Pikachu's Iron Tail.
Stanium's known moves are Razor Leaf, Body Slam, and Solar Beam. | ||

- In the Japanese version, Seiya and Soshinium are named after and portrayed by Seiya and Soshina, two comedians who form the Japanese comedy duo Shimofuri Myojo.
- Shimofuri Myojo were based in Osaka. Osaka's Pokémon world counterpart is Goldenrod City, Seiya's hometown.
- In the English dub, Oliver and Stanium are respectively named after Oliver Hardy and Stan Laurel, two comedians who form the comedy duo Laurel and Hardy.
- Similar to Visquez, Oliver's hair has a shape that refers to his type specialty, in this case hibiscus leaves.
