A Nurse (Japanese: ナース Nurse) is a type of Pokémon Trainer introduced in Generation V. Battling them is optional; they do not challenge the Trainer upon sight, but instead when spoken to, unless they are encountered in White Treehollow where they will challenge the player on sight. Upon being defeated, the Nurse will heal the Trainer's party fully, and any time spoken to afterwards, unless they are battled in Big Stadium and Small Court (or the aforementioned White Treehollow, where they will only heal the player once, albeit upon the player's choice). Some will give out Max Revives or Full Restores when defeated. They are the female counterparts of Doctors. They tend to use Pokémon with healing properties, like Audino, or Psychic types. Nurses will use Full Heals during battle if their Pokémon are afflicted with status conditions.
