Nookipedia is a wiki devoted to the Animal Crossing series of games. It was originally two wikis, one independent, one hosted by Wikia. It was originally known as Animal Crossing Wiki until the name was changed on December 31, 2010 to Nookipedia.

History

The wiki has a split history. Previously, some time in 2010, an Nookipedia hosted on Animal Crossing Forums was founded. However, problems caused the wiki to be moved to its own domain. Another wiki was founded in August 2005 on Wikia under the name Animal Crossing City. Shortly after its fifth year anniversary, Wikia made a new skin, 'Oasis', mandatory. Many wikis left Wikia, including Animal Crossing City. Originally going to move to ShoutWiki, which did happen for a short while, Animal Crossing City later decided to merge with the aforementioned independent Animal Crossing Wiki to form the wiki that exists today.
