The MysticTicket was distributed during various Pokémon-related events and occasions in Japan, the United States, and Mexico.

In Japan, the MysticTicket was first distributed during various Pokémon Festa 2004 locations from July 17 to August 15, 2004. Its last known distribution was from December 27, 2006 to January 8, 2007.

In the United States, the Ticket was first distributed at the Nintendo World Store on May 14, 2005. Its final distribution was during the Pokémon Rocks America 2005 tour, from September 17 to October 22, 2005.

In Mexico, the Ticket was distributed only once during the Electronic Game Show which took place from October 21 to 23, 2005. The distribution was a joint collaboration between Club Nintendo Mexico and Nintendo of America. To get the Ticket, players had to visit the Pokémon booth in the expo with their Game Boy Advance, a cartridge of Pokémon FireRed, LeafGreen or Emerald and a Game Boy Advance Wireless Adapter. Nintendo employees used an unknown distribution device to giveaway the Ticket.
