Biology
Biology
Musharna is rounded, bipedal Pokémon that has a tapir-like trunk. Its body is light purple, while its head is a pale pink. It has oval, red eyes with three eyelashes and dark pink ovals on its forehead and cheeks. The tips of its four stubby limbs are dark pink. Dream Mist seeps out of the mark on its forehead. This mist has various colors depending on what kind of dreams Musharna has eaten; it is most often a dark pink. Shapes and forms of the dreams Musharna has eaten can appear in the mist as well.

It has oval, red eyes with three eyelashes and dark pink ovals on its forehead and cheeks. Its eyes are normally closed, but open when Musharna falls asleep. The tips of its four stubby limbs are dark pink. Dream Mist seeps out of the mark on its forehead.

In the anime
Like its pre-evolution Munna, Musharna eats the dreams of people and Pokémon. Musharna's Dream Mist has various colors depending on what kind of dreams it has eaten; it is most often pink in color. Shapes and forms of the dreams Musharna has eaten can appear in the mist as well. It is advised not to approach Musharna when its Dream Mist is dark in color, as the dark mist brings a person's nightmares to life. Musharna sleeps and dreams constantly. It can become a terrible grump should it be freshly roused from sleep. Musharna and its pre-evolution are thought to share common ancestry with Drowzee.

Major appearances
Musharna debuted in Dreams by the Yard Full!, under the ownership of Fennel. Musharna was the subject of research in the Dreamyard, due to the possibility of using its Dream Mist as a cleaner energy source. However, due to the evil thoughts and desires of people on the project, Musharna's Dream Mist was corrupted, which caused an energy overload and destroyed the whole facility in a powerful explosion. In Archeops In The Modern World!, its Dream Mist was used to revive a fossilized Archen.
Minor appearances
In a flashback in White—Victini and Zekrom and Black—Victini and Reshiram, multiple Musharna once lived at the now-relocated Sword of the Vale.
A Musharna appeared in Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel.

* Musharna is the only Pokémon with a base stat total of 487.

* Musharna shares its category with Komala. They are both known as the Drowsing Pokémon.
* Musharna and Munna were designed by Atsuko Nishida. Musharna in particular was designed before the concept of the Dream World was created. When the Dream World was later added, it was associated with Musharna due to how easily they paired together.

Origin
Origin
Musharna appears to be based on traditional Japanese incense burners called Koro (incense burner). These are used in traditional tea ceremonies, but many styles of koro have been developed to be used with insect repellent incense. These insect repellent koro are popularly shaped like a pig. Musharna, like Drowzee, also seems to share some inspiration from the myth of the Baku (spirit), tapir-like creatures that eat dreams. Its curled up appearance is similar to that of a fetus.

Musharna (Japanese: ムシャーナ Musharna) is a Psychic-type Pokémon introduced in Generation V.

It evolves from Munna when exposed to a Moon Stone.

Biology

Musharna is a rounded, bipedal Pokémon that has a tapir-like trunk. Its body is light purple, while its head is a pale pink. It has oval, red eyes with three eyelashes and dark pink ovals on its forehead and cheeks. Its eyes are normally closed, but open when Musharna falls asleep. The tips of its four stubby limbs are dark pink. Dream Mist seeps out of the mark on its forehead.

Evolution

Musharna evolves from Munna.

Musharna in the anime

Trivia

Concept art
 • Musharna shares its category with Komala. They are both known as the Drowsing Pokémon.
 • Musharna and Munna were designed by Atsuko Nishida. Musharna in particular was designed before the concept of the Dream World was created. When the Dream World was later added, it was associated with Musharna due to how easily they paired together.[1]

Origin

Musharna is based on a tapir.[1] Specifically, Musharna, like Drowzee, seems to share some inspiration from the myth of the baku, tapir-like creatures that eat dreams. Musharna also appears to be based on traditional Japanese incense burners called koro. These are used in traditional tea ceremonies, but many styles of koro have been developed to be used with insect repellent incense. These insect repellent koro are popularly shaped like a pig. Munna's curled up appearance is similar to that of a fetus. The purple part of its body visually resembles a baby pyjama.

Name origin

Musharna may be a combination of ムシャムシャ mushamusha (onomatopoeia for eating), 夢 mu (dream), and luna (Latin for moon). It may also involve mana and 花 hana (flower).
