Mummy (Japanese: ミイラ Mummy) is an Ability introduced in Generation V. Two Pokémon have this Ability, both in the same evolutionary line.

Effect

In battle

When the user is attacked by a contact move, the opposing Pokémon's Ability is turned into Mummy as well. Because that is the only effect this ability has, it makes Mummy similar to the move Gastro Acid, which cancels all effects of the foe's ability. Multitype, Wonder Guard and Mummy itself are the only abilities not affected by Mummy. The opposing Pokémon's Ability returns to normal after the battle concludes.

Outside of battle

Mummy has no effect outside of battle.
