Muddy Water (Japanese: だくりゅう Muddy River) is a damage-dealing Water-type move introduced in Generation III. Prior to Generation IV, it was the signature move of Marshtomp and Swampert.

Effect

Generations III to V

Muddy Water inflicts damage and has a 30% chance of lowering the target's accuracy by one stage. Muddy Water targets all adjacent opponents.

Muddy Water can also be used as part of a Pokémon Contest combination, with the user gaining extra two appeal points if the move Rain Dance was used in the prior turn.
