Historical origin

Motochika is based on the real-life Chōsokabe Motochika of Japanese history. Nobuchika (Chōsokabe Nobuchika) and Morichika (Chōsokabe Morichika) were his sons. Chikamasa (Fukudome Chikamasa) was a vassal.
