Historical origin
Motochika is based on the real-life Chōsokabe Motochika of Japanese history. Nobuchika (Chōsokabe Nobuchika) and Motochika (Chōsokabe Morichika) are his sons. Chikamasa (Fukudome Chikamasa) was a vassel.
