He was sitting with his family aboard the same train as Ash and his friends, when Ash's Pikachu, Oshawott, Scraggy, and Iris's Axew ran through their section. While Ash and his friends visited Malin's food stall as the train stopped at Windy Station, Mimi was seen having some ice cream. He was delighted to see Malin's Vanillite handing out some Oran Ice to the group.
