- This article is about the character of the day in the anime. For the character in the Generation II games, see Kimono Girl.
- If you were looking for the character of the day from Ariados, Amigos with the Japanese name of "Miki", see Mickey.
Miki (Japanese: ミキ Miki) was the character of the day in Hot Matches!
Miki was very eager to battle Fire-type Pokémon, mostly to show off how powerful her Skarmory was against Pokémon with which it is at a disadvantage. Brock found Miki to be very pretty, however Miki mistook him as a Trainer who wanted to battle and challenged him, telling him to use a Fire type. It successfully defeated Brock's Vulpix and Ash's Cyndaquil. However, Ash believed that Cyndaquil could become stronger than it was if it could get its flame lit when it needed to and he began to train it. By the end of their training, Cyndaquil was able to get its flame on its back blazing without having to warm up.
Miki decided to test Ash to see how well his training had progressed, and Cyndaquil proved to be powerful enough to defeat Skarmory. Miki complimented Ash on his training, and the group continued on their journey.

Miki has a very strong Skarmory which she uses to battle Fire-type Pokémon, in order to train it against its disadvantages. Skarmory defeated Brock's Vulpix, knocking it out with Steel Wing. Miki then told Brock to send out another Fire type, but Ash interrupted and sent out his Cyndaquil. Skarmory used Fury Attack and Swift in the battle against Cyndaquil, nearly knocking it out. Skarmory was about to finish off the Fire type when the two Pokémon became captured by Team Rocket. It broke free easily with Swift, and was later able to send Team Rocket blasting off, freeing Cyndaquil.
The next day, Miki battled Ash and Cyndaquil again. After a heated battle, both Pokémon were badly hurt when Cyndaquil was able to defeat Skarmory with a powerful Flamethrower. Skarmory's known moves are Fury Attack, Agility, Swift, and Steel Wing. | ||
