The English print became available at {{TCG|Pokémon League}}s as a Non Holofoil {{TCG|Wizards Black Star Promos|Wizards Black Star Promo}} on January 8, 2000. In Japan, this English print was included in the July 2000 issue of ''Gotta Magazine'', alongside a French {{TCG ID|Wizards Promo|Pikachu|4}}. Both cards are printed on glossy card stock. A Holofoil reprint, numbered 9, became available in Pokémon Leagues in April 2000.

This card was released in the Japanese Mystery of the Fossils expansion, as a Holofoil card. The English print became available at Pokémon Leagues as a Non Holofoil Wizards Black Star Promo on January 8, 2000. In Japan, this English print was included in the July 2000 issue of Gotta Magazine, alongside a French Pikachu. Both cards are printed on glossy card stock. A Holofoil reprint, numbered 9, became available in Pokémon Leagues in April 2000.
