The Metal type is one of nine TCG elemental types.

The Metal type contains all Template:Type2 Pokémon found in the Game Boy games. For example, Steelix and Scizor both appear as Metal types in the TCG.

Like the Darkness-type, it has its own Special Energy. However, instead of increasing damage done by 10, it decreases damage taken by 10.

Generally, Metal Pokémon have a weakness to:

• Template:C

These types are generally weak to Metal Pokémon:

• Template:C (if the Pokémon was an Template:Type2 in the Game Boy games)

These types are generally resistant to Metal Pokémon:

• Template:C

Generally Metal Pokémon have a resistance to:

• Template:C
• Template:C (Diamond & Pearl onwards)
