Trivia

  • Before official distribution, the Member Card featured many different names including: Member's Card, Membership Pass, Member's Pass, etc. until it was revealed to officially be called the Member Card.
  • In the Member Card's description, it says that the last date marked on it was 50 years ago. On the official artwork, it is labeled "1958.12.1", exactly 50 years before the first Japanese distribution.
  • When receiving it from the man in the Poké Mart, it will display its name as "Member's Card", though in the Bag, it is simply "Member Card".
  • The Member Card opening the door of an inn is somewhat similar to the way some hotels today use key cards for room access.
