Me First (Japanese: さきどり Take in Advance) is a Normal-type move introduced in Generation IV.

Effect

If the foe has not made the first move, Me First copies any damage-dealing move that the target is about to use and increases the power by 50%. It will fail if the foe uses a non-damaging move. Despite some confusion from the in-game description, Me First will only work if the user is faster than the foe, or moves first due to an effect from a Custap Berry, a Quick Claw, a Lagging Tail, Full Incense, or the Abilities Stall or Prankster. Regardless of who is faster, Me First is always unable to copy moves with increased priority such as Fake Out or Sucker Punch.

If the foe goes second in the recharge turn of a move like Frenzy Plant, Me First will work and copy that move. If a move like Outrage is copied, it will act as usual, forcing the user of Me First to use the move for several turns.

Description

Games Description
The user tries to cut ahead of the foe to steal and use the foe’s intended move with greater power.
The user tries to cut ahead of the target to steal and use the target's intended move with greater power.
PMDTDS Causes the user to unleash a random move drawn from the facing enemy's move list. The move's power is boosted for greater damage. The move fails if the enemy has no damage-dealing moves.
