McKenzie
McKenzie (Japanese: イサミ Isami) is a character of the day who appeared in Doin' What Comes Natu-rally.
Ash and his friends first encountered McKenzie while he was trying to train his Natu, nicknamed Naughty. When they asked what he was doing, he got scared and ran away. They soon encountered him again at a fair where Pokémon displayed their talents. McKenzie's father asked McKenzie and Naughty to look into Misty's future. However, he did the routine all wrong due to stage fright. Ash and the gang decided to help him, and Misty advised that McKenzie should wear a mask so that the audience wouldn't see his face. McKenzie was in the middle of trying out his new act when Team Rocket attacked the fair and stole Naughty, along with some other Pokémon.
He eventually got Naughty back, and after that, he used it to battle Jessie and her Arbok. All the while, an audience was watching him, but McKenzie wasn't fazed at all by it. McKenzie told Naughty to use Confuse Ray on Arbok, making it confused and go after Team Rocket as a result. Ash then ordered Pikachu to use Thunderbolt, which sent Team Rocket blasting off. McKenzie was then asked by a schoolteacher if he could put on a show for the children. He agreed and did his performance perfectly. He even felt comfortable enough to take off his mask.

| McKenzie has a Natu nicknamed Naughty (Japanese: ナイティ Naiti). It tried to tell fortunes at a fair like McKenzie's father's Natu, but always messed up because McKenzie was suffering from stage fright. Misty tried to help by giving Naughty's Trainer a Wooper mask, so that his stage fright would go over. Everything ran smoothly, until Naughty tried to use its psychic powers while they were not strong enough yet. Later, Naughty sensed Team Rocket coming. They indeed came and they stole Naughty, including loads of other Pokémon. Ash's Bayleef was later able to free all the Pokémon, though Naughty was nowhere to be seen.
They then found Team Rocket still had it. Naughty used its Confuse Ray on Arbok and eventually helped to send Team Rocket blasting off. McKenzie thought that now Naughty would be powerful enough to tell the future of someone. It tried on a child and this time, it succeeded. Naughty's known moves are Peck, Teleport, Future Sight, and Confuse Ray. | ||
