Mayumi Iizuka (Japanese: 飯塚雅弓, born January 3, 1977) is a Japanese voice actress who provides the voices of a handful of characters in the Japanese version of the Pokémon anime. Her most famous role is that of Kasumi (Misty).

Biography

Mayumi Iizuka was born on January 3, 1977, in Tokyo, Japan. She has been acting since she was three years old, but after she got her first voice acting role in the anime Omoide Poroporo, she went into a voice acting and singing career.

Iizuka has said that out of all the roles in all the anime she has played, Misty is most like her. She got the part after the director told her to be herself during her audition.
