Matori's Meowth (Japanese: マトリ ニャース Matori's Nyarth) is a Pokémon owned by Matori.
History
Wild
Matori's Meowth was first seen by Meowth from Team Rocket in Alola during Acting True to Form!. He encountered his Alolan counterpart after falling in the mud after getting mad at Jessie for stealing his limited edition ice cream. When Jessie and James came looking for Meowth, they mistook the Alolan Meowth for their own and headed back to base. They soon realized their mistake when their Meowth arrived back. Team Rocket warmed to the Alolan Meowth quickly and realized they could use the Darkinium Z Crystal, only to learn that they needed a Z-Ring. Jessie was keen to catch it but Meowth declined, deciding it wanted more time. Team Rocket's Meowth wasn't too happy but they were interrupted by a call from Team Rocket Headquarters. Giovanni showed interest in the Alolan Meowth which pleased Jessie and James. After showing Mimikyu's insides to Meowth, it ran away.
Meowth was checking Team Rocket on their computer when Team Rocket's Meowth returned, having come up with a plan to win back Jessie and James and told the Alolan Meowth to meet it by the Pokémon School. Matori's Meowth waited for Meowth by the school when it came with Ash's backpack which contained his Rowlet where it was confronted by Ash and his classmates. They fell into a pit-trap that was made by Team Rocket which had been part of the plan Matori's Meowth had made. They were able to capture Pikachu and fled but were soon confronted by Ash and his classmates. When Pikachu was freed when Mimikyu attacked its case, Matori's Meowth disappeared.
With Matori
After several days, Meowth arrived at Team Rocket Headquarters where it became Matori's assistant. Giovanni and Matori contacted Team Rocket congratulating them on sending Meowth to them. After the call, Meowth made contact once more informing Meowth that it intended to replace Persian on the bosses lap, much to Meowth's displeasure. Meowth later discovered that it had stolen his money in order to afford tickets back to Kanto.
Meowth reappeared alongside Matori in SM087, as she approached Alola by helicopter with Gozu.
Meowth reappeared alongside Matori in SM088, and SM089.
Personality and characteristics
Meowth has been shown as cunning and decisive as evident in Acting True to Form!, where it used Jessie and James to find a place where it belongs. It is shown to be a rival to Meowth as evident by its desire to sit on Giovanni's lap, something that Team Rocket's Meowth has been keen to do. Meowth is smart as evident when it realized that Team Rocket were about to be defeated and promptly left them and Alola.
