Marvel Scale (Japanese: ふしぎなうろこ Marvelous Scale) is an Ability introduced in Generation III. Three Pokémon can have this Ability. Prior to Generation V, it was the signature Ability of Milotic.

Effect

In battle

While the Pokémon with this Ability has a status condition, its Defense is increased by 50%.

In Mystery Dungeon series, a Pokémon with a status problem with this Ability will have a 50% defense bonus when hit by a physical attack.

Outside of battle

Marvel Scale has no effect outside of battle.
