Marvel Scale (Japanese: ふしぎなうろこ Marvelous Scale) is an Ability introduced in Generation III. Three Pokémon can have this Ability. Prior to Generation V, it was the signature Ability of Milotic.
Effect
In battle
Marvel Scale raises the Defense stat by 50% if the Pokémon with this Ability is suffering from a status ailment.
In Mystery Dungeon, a Pokémon with a status problem with this Ability will have a 50% defense bonus when hit by a physical attack.
Outside of battle
This Ability has no effect outside of battle.
